Dr. Dinardo,

As a former member of the DPCA, I am most interested in the preservation and protection of the Doberman breed. As such, I have been observing the activities of the Officers and Directors of the parent club. Recent activity by the stewards for this breed has raised some serious concerns and so I turn to you first.

As President of the DPCA I would like to give you an opportunity to explain your position on what I consider an abrogation of your fiduciary responsibility to the 501c3 organization that is the DPCA.

Point 1: J.E.C.: The procedure used in passing Motion 13-10, putting handlers on the Judges Education Committee is, in my opinion, a violation of the APM, Sec III. B. Board Voting.

And further, to install the handler of your personal dog on a committee that affects the judging of Dobermans is a clearly a conflict of interest. One that has been created when your fiduciary responsibility is in a situation where your own self-interest and the interests of the organization are in conflict. Additionally this appears to be a transgression of your ethical duty of loyalty to the club.

So this Motion and its supporters appear to be technically in violation of their own rules and with this change in the J.E.C. you have created a conflict of interest for yourself and a potential embarrassment for the DPCA.

Point 2: The Top 20: The procedures of Top 20 Committee's judges selection was supposed to be kept independent of the Board. And any change in procedure should be voted on by the board prior to inserting it into the APM

Add to this the statement that Jeff Helsdon will be adding this change to the APM? Without a vote by the Board? Is this is proper procedure without a board vote?

These two changes seem to bestow benefits upon individuals at the expense of the organization, and as such cause me to register my concerns. I will wait until Jan. 16 th , 2013 before I proceed with a formal complaint to federal authorities governing 501c3 conduct and you will have had a chance to reply.

Thank you for your time,
